Honoro Vera Garnacha is a young red wine from Bodegas Ateca, part of Gil Family Estates, produced in the D.O. Calatayud, Aragón, Spain.

It is made from 100% Garnacha (Grenache) grapes from low-yielding old vines grown on slate and clay soils at high altitude (700-1000 meters). The wine ferments in stainless steel for 15 days at 25 °C and is aged for a brief 2 months in French oak barrels, making it suitable for vegans.

Characteristics:

• Appearance: Intense dark cherry color with violet or bright red rim.
• Aroma: Fresh and intense with notes of ripe red fruits (strawberries, cherries, raspberries, currants), balsamic, mineral and spicy.
• Taste: Fruity, fresh and full-bodied, with soft, pleasant tannins and a spicy, savory finish. Some describe it as fluid and light, others as powerful with balanced acidity.
• Alcoholic strength: 14-14.5 % vol.
• Serving temperature: 15-17 °C.
• Ideal consumption: 2-3 years after vintage.
