LA GOYA MANZANILLA 75CL.

Goya Manzanilla 75 cl is the flagship manzanilla from Delgado Zuleta, one of the historic wineries of Sanlúcar de Barrameda and a name that is synonymous with Andalusian fortified wines. It is a ‘manzanilla pasada’, aged naturally under a flor yeast layer, with a more mature, complex and food-friendly profile. It is highly prized in Andalusia for its ability to complement tapas, seafood and fried fish, as well as for its versatility in cooking. Andalubox exports it throughout Europe.

In traditional Andalusian usage, La Goya is served well chilled as an aperitif wine, particularly with olives, almonds, Iberian ham, prawns, king prawns, cockles and all kinds of fried fish. Its dry, salty and very persistent profile makes it an ideal manzanilla for whetting the appetite and for accompanying savoury dishes without overpowering them. Furthermore, its more mature character makes it very useful in cooking, where it can add depth to sauces, fish and seafood – a quality that is also highly valued in the hospitality industry.

The Delgado Zuleta winery produces this wine from 100% Palomino grapes; it is aged for approximately 7 years using the criaderas and soleras system in American oak casks, and has an alcohol content of 15%. In the glass, it has a pale, golden-yellow colour that is clear and bright. On the nose, notes of toasted almond, citrus peel and chamomile stand out, whilst on the palate it is light, dry, smooth and has a very elegant finish.
