Freixenet Ice Special Semi-Dry Cava 75 cl is a very popular Spanish cava from the prestigious Freixenet winery, from the Cava DO (Catalonia). It is made using the traditional method (bottle fermentation, like Champagne) and is specially designed to be enjoyed with ice, which makes it refreshing, fun, and perfect for cocktails, summer, or casual moments.

It is a semi-dry cava (with medium sweetness, around 45 g/l of sugar), richer and sweeter to compensate for the cold of the ice. It has an alcohol content of 11.5% vol. and comes in a 75 cl (0.75 liter) bottle, often with a characteristic matte white design.

Key features:

• Aromas and flavors: Fine bubbles, notes of ripe peach, pear, tropical fruits (such as pineapple), white flowers, and hints of honey or citrus. On the palate it is creamy, sweet, balanced, with a long and refreshing finish. Some also highlight nuances of walnut or hazelnut.
• Color: golden, brilliant.
• Grape varieties: Classic Cava blend such as Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada, with a possible touch of Chardonnay.
• Aging: Minimum 9–10 months on lees for greater complexity.
• Serving method: Very cold, in a large glass filled with ice. Add mint, fruit slices (strawberry, lemon, cucumber) or berries to enhance it. Ideal as an aperitif, with fruit-based desserts, cakes, or simply to enjoy in a relaxed way. Also great in cocktails.
