CUNE Red Wine Reserva Rioja 75 cl is a classic red wine from the CVNE winery (Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España), simply known as Cune Reserva.

This is a Reserva from the DOCa Rioja (mainly Rioja Alta), famous for its traditional style, excellent quality, and great value for money.

• Varieties: Mainly Tempranillo (around 85%), with Garnacha, Graciano, and Mazuelo (15%)
• Format: 75 cl bottle
• Alcohol content: 14% vol.
• Aging: Fermentation and maceration, followed by approximately 18-24 months in oak barrels (a mix of American and French), plus additional time in the bottle to meet Reserva requirements.
• Origin: Grapes from our own estates such as Caballeros, Santo Tomás, and Sarnamoros, in towns of Rioja Alta: Rodezno, Villalba, and Haro.

It is a benchmark Rioja Reserva: elegant, balanced, and approachable, with the classic character of the region (influence of the oak combined with fresh fruit).

Tasting notes:

• Appearance: Deep garnet color with cherry or brick trim.
• Nose: Fresh aromas of red fruits (cherries, plums, blackberries), licorice, vanilla, toffee, spices (clove, tobacco), soft toasted notes from the barrel, and floral touches.
• Palate: Medium-bodied, round and balanced, soft tannins, good fresh acidity, long finish with pastry and fruit notes that invite you to keep drinking.
• Style: Traditional yet fresh, not heavy, with great balance and aging potential.

It usually scores between 90-93 points (Peñín Guide, James Suckling, Tim Atkin, etc.) and is described as “classic Rioja,” “great finesse,” and “excellent value.”
