Península Apóstata Red Wine from Spain 75cl
Península Apóstata Vino Tinto de España 75 cl is a red wine produced by Península Vinicultores in Spain, made from 100% Tempranillo grapes from old vines from various regions of Castilla y León, such as Morales de Toro (Zamora), Cigales (Valladolid) and Valtiendas (Segovia).
This wine does not belong to any specific Denomination of Origin (D.O.), which allows for a unique expression of Tempranillo in different terroirs. Its aging in French and American oak barrels for 12 months results in a full-bodied, intense and fragrant wine.
Tasting notes:
- Appearance: Intense cherry red with garnet reflections and viscous tear.
- Nose: Intense and clean, with aromas of black and blue fruits, spices and soft toasted notes from barrel aging.
- Palate: Juicy, vibrant and well-structured, with fine, muscular tannins, a sweet entry and fruity nuances, with a dry, robust finish.
- Alcoholic graduation: 14.6 % vol.
- Serving temperature: Recommended at 16 °C.
- Pairing: Ideal with grilled meats (especially lamb), pasta, migas, grilled lamb chops, rabbit stew or cured cheeses.
Winemaking details: Grape variety: 100% Tempranillo (also known as Tinta de Toro, Tinto Fino or Cencibel).
Harvest: Manual, from old vines at high altitude with varied soils and continental climate influence.
Aging potential: It can age for at least five years.
