Leche de Pantera is a traditional cocktail associated with the Spanish Legion, known for its smoothness and surprising flavor. Produced by Destilerías Martes Santo in Higuera de la Sierra (Huelva), it is handcrafted with condensed milk and premium double-distilled gin, with an alcohol content of 17%. It is recommended to serve it very cold, with crushed ice and a touch of cinnamon powder to intensify its flavor. There is also a variant, Leche de Pantera Rosa, which incorporates strawberries from Huelva, offering a fruity twist without artificial colors or flavors.its origin dates back to the 1920s, attributed to the bartender Perico Chicote by order of José Millán-Astray, founder of the Legion, who was looking for a cheap and easy to prepare drink in complicated areas. Legend has it that its name was inspired by Celia Gámez, because of her panther-print dress and slanted eyes. Some versions include whole milk for a creamier texture, rum for a tropical profile or even gunpowder, according to legionary anecdotes.
