Manzanilla Gabriela Oro En Rama is a tribute to Sanlúcar’s winemaking tradition, bottled unfiltered to preserve all its purity and character. Aged in the prestigious soleras of Bodegas Barrero, it stands out for its pale golden color and its complex aromatic profile, where notes of almond, bakery, dried flowers and an elegant saline touch, characteristic of aging under a veil of flor in the microclimate of Sanlúcar, can be perceived. The palate is fresh, dry and vibrant, with a long and persistent finish. Perfect for pairing with seafood, Iberian ham and Mediterranean cuisine.

Manzanilla Gabriela Oro is a high quality manzanilla “en rama” or “pasada” from the prestigious Sanlúcar de Barrameda Denomination of Origin. It is distinguished by a longer biological aging period, which gives it greater complexity and character.

Main characteristics:

  • Designation of Origin: Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

  • Winery: Bodegas Barrero (formerly Bodega Miguel Sánchez Ayala).

  • Type of wine: Generoso dry.

  • Grapes: 100% Palomino Fino.

  • Aging: Biological aging under veil of flor in American oak barrels, using the traditional system of criaderas and soleras. Manzanilla Gabriela Oro differs from the regular “Gabriela” manzanilla because of its greater age, with an average of 6 to 10 years of aging, which places it in the category of “manzanilla pasada”.

  • Sacas: It is bottled “en rama”, that is, with minimal or no filtration, which preserves all its purity and complexity. The sacas (extractions of the wine from the butt) are limited and seasonal, normally 4 to 6 per year.

  • Alcoholic graduation: 15% Vol.

Tasting Notes:

  • Color: Intense and bright golden color.

  • Nose (Aromas): A deep and complex aromatic profile. Iodized and saline notes stand out, evoking the “low tide”, together with aromas of white flowers, toasted almonds and mineral notes reminiscent of chalk dust from the albariza soils.

  • Palate: Fresh, dry and very saline. In the mouth it is very sharp, with remarkable acidity and minerality. It is a full-bodied wine, very persistent and with a long finish, leaving a sensation of freshness and complexity.

Pairing:

Manzanilla Gabriela Oro is an ideal wine to accompany Andalusian and Mediterranean cuisine. Its saline and sharp profile makes it perfect for:

  • Seafood (shrimp, prawns, oysters, clams).

  • Fish and seafood stews.

  • Iberian ham and cured meats.

  • Cured cheeses.

  • Dishes with mushrooms or vegetables such as vegetable couscous.

  • Rice and rice dishes.

Serving temperature:

It is recommended to serve well chilled, between 12 and 15 °C, to fully appreciate its freshness and complexity.
