Ramón Bilbao Rioja Ecológico is a vibrant and fruity red wine from the emblematic DOCa Rioja, produced by the prestigious Bodegas Ramón Bilbao. This 750 ml (75 cl) bottle represents the winery’s commitment to sustainable and organic viticulture, becoming its first 100% organic proposal.

It is a modern version of the classic Rioja, fusing the elegance of Tempranillo with the freshness of Garnacha, making it accessible yet complex, ideal for everyday enjoyment or for pairing with food.
Description:

• Varietal Coupage: 80% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha (organic grapes)
• Region: Eastern Rioja, slopes of Mount Yerga at an altitude of about 600 m (stony, clay-limestone soils).
• Vintage: Currently available: 2022 (earlier vintages, such as 2019/2020, are also in circulation).
• Aging: 8 months in American oak barrels, followed by aging in bottle.
• Alcoholic content: ~13.5%.
• Certification: Organic (EU certified; no synthetic chemicals).
• Style: Medium-bodied red wine, aged in wood (equivalent to Crianza).

Tasting Notes Appearance: Ruby red of medium intensity, clean and with bright violet hues. Aroma: Expressive and direct, brimming with red and black fruits such as ripe strawberries, cherries, blackberries and cassis. Subtle balsamic notes of rosemary and spices (black pepper, vanilla, clove) mingle with hints of cedar, cocoa and coconut, derived from the oak.
Palate: Fresh and balanced, with lively acidity, soft tannins and a juicy fruit core. Medium-bodied, giving way to a clean and spicy finish, fruity but structured, without heaviness.
