LA TARIFEÑA ALBACORE TUNA FROM ALMADRABA SUNFLOWER RR 250 is a premium preserve of almadraba albacore fillets in sunflower oil, from the brand La Tarifeña (by Conservera de Tarifa, Cádiz).

This is a relatively new product (launched around late 2025 / early 2026) that is gaining a lot of popularity in the world of Andalusian gourmet preserves.

What is Almadraba Albacore? The albacore (also called bacoreta or *Euthynnus alletteratus*) is a tuna similar to bonito, but smaller and with firm, juicy red flesh. It is traditionally and sustainably caught in the Almadraba fisheries of Cádiz (mainly in October-November), when the fish is at its optimal fat content. Its flavor and texture fall between melva (softer) and tuna (more structured). It is a “classic” preserved fish but has been little marketed until now in this format.

• Net weight: 237 g (the “RR 250” refers to the can size, not the exact weight).
• Drained weight: Approximately 160-170 g (may vary slightly depending on the batch).
• Ingredients: Almadraba albacore fillets, refined sunflower oil, and salt. 100% handmade preparation (manual cleaning, cutting, and stacking).
• Features: Firm, compact, and juicy meat.
• Deep and bright red color.
• Balanced, clean, and intense flavor, without being strong. Sunflower oil makes it smoother and more versatile than the olive oil version.
