Bodegas Muñana is a leading commercial winery located in the north of Granada, Spain, known for its vineyards located at one of the highest altitudes in Europe, about 1,200 meters above sea level, in the 200-hectare Finca Peñas Prietas. The winery combines tradition and innovation, producing wines with Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) Vinos de Granada and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) Altiplano de Sierra Nevada. Featured WinesMuñana Rojo: The winery’s first red wine, made from Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Monastrell (in some versions it also includes Petit Verdot and Syrah). Aged for 12 months in oak barrels, with spicy and fruity aromas, tasty and balanced. Awarded in international competitions with gold and silver medals.

VINEYARDS: Vineyards located on the estate, at an altitude of 1100 meters, cultivated on trellises, on limestone soil.

AGING: Aged for 6 months in French and American oak barrels of medium toast and American oak barrels of medium toasting and 12 months of resting in the bottle in natural caves, at a temperature between between 16-18º C.C.

TASTING: Intense cherry red cherry color. In nose we find aromas of ripe red fruits, black licorice, cinnamon and toasted notes. The palate is long, spicy, with balanced acidity, soft tannins, and persistent finish.
