Borboleta Wine (Bodega La Margarita, Sierra Norte de Sevilla)
Borboleta is a red wine (crianza red) produced by Bodega La Margarita, located in Constantina within the Natural Park of the Sierra Norte de Sevilla, Spain. The name “Borboleta”, which means “butterfly” in Portuguese, honors Isabella of Portugal and her appreciation for the wines of this region, served at her wedding to Charles V in 1526 at the Real Alcazar in Seville.
DESCRIPTION
Aging: Nine months in barrels of more than one wine.
Winemaking: Cold maceration, fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation in tank.
Tasting notes: Medium-high color intensity, with ruby tones and violet reflections. Aromas of red fruit, blue flowers, with a background of coffee and sweet spices. The palate has a very sweet tannin with volume and a very pleasant final sensation.
