López Cristóbal Tinto Roble (also known as La Linde Roble) is a young, barrel-aged red wine from the Ribera del Duero D.O., produced by Bodegas López Cristóbal in Roa (Burgos).

• Varieties: 95% Tinta del País (Tempranillo) + 5% Merlot.
• Format: 75 cl bottle.
• Alcohol content: 14.5% ABV
• Aging: Just 3 months in French oak barrels + 3 months in the bottle. It has a light “oak” character, fresher and fruitier than a traditional crianza.
• Vineyard: This wine comes from the La Linde estate, where the vines are approximately 20–25 years old and grow at an elevation of 770 meters on calcareous-loamy soils. Yields are carefully controlled, and the grapes are harvested by hand.

Wine Profile: This is a fresh, balanced, expressive, and easy-to-drink Ribera, ideal for those looking for a wine with prominent fruit and just the right touch of oak.

Typical tasting notes:

• Appearance: Deep cherry red with violet hues (very brilliant).
• Nose: Very fruity. Notes of strawberries, cherries, berries, and wild berries stand out. Subtle hints of vanilla, sweet spices, and wood enhance the fruit without overpowering it.
• Palate: Flavorful and sweet, with good structure but not heavy. Soft, rounded tannins and lively acidity that lends it freshness; persistent and well-balanced. The brief time in oak is noticeable, but the fruit dominates.

This is a versatile wine with a youthful character, yet it offers a bit more complexity thanks to those three months in oak. It’s perfect for drinking now (though it will age well for 2–3 years in the bottle).

Recommended pairing:

• Grilled or roasted meats (beef, lamb, pork).
• Iberian cured meats, semi-aged cheeses.
• Pasta with tomato sauce, pizza, gourmet burgers, or light stews.
• Serve at 15–17°C.
