JACK DANIELS RYE WHISKEY 70 CL.

It is a popular expression from the Jack Daniel’s distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

• This is its first change in the grain recipe in more than 150 years, a high-rye whiskey.
• Grain recipe (Mash Bill): 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley (high in rye, which gives it an intense spicy character).
• Bottle size: 70 cl (700 ml) — the standard format in Europe and most international markets.
• Alcohol content: 45% (90 proof) in the standard Tennessee Straight Rye version.

Process: It is made using the famous Lincoln County Process (filtered through maple charcoal), which makes it smoother and more approachable than many traditional ryes. It is aged in new charred oak barrels.

Tasting Notes:

• Aroma: Banana, caramel, cherry, honey, mint, toasted oak, and subtle sweet spices.
• Palate: Sweet banana bread, cinnamon, vanilla, clove, and the characteristic spiciness of rye. Thanks to charcoal filtration, it is smoother and fruitier than classic ryes.
• Finish: Medium length, with oak, spices and persistent sweetness.

Many tasters highlight its dominant banana note, which sets it apart from other more aggressive and spiced ryes. It is very versatile: neat, on the rocks, or in cocktails such as a Manhattan or Old Fashioned.
