Freixenet Meritum Cava Brut Nature Gran Reserva 75 cl is one of the most premium and elegant cavas from the Freixenet winery, within the D.O. Cava (Catalonia, Spain). It is made using the traditional method (second fermentation in the bottle, like Champagne) and is a Gran Reserva, which means a minimum aging of 30 months on lees (often more, up to 40–50 months in some vintages), providing great complexity, finesse and elegance. It is a Brut Nature cava (no added sugar or very low, less than 3 g/l), dry, structured and with great balance, ideal for those looking for a high-end cava, more serious and complex than Ice or basic ones.

Key features:

• Aromas and flavors: On the nose, intense aromas of ripe fruit (apple, pear, citrus), bakery notes, yeast, brioche, smoky touches, nuts, and subtle citrus. On the palate it is very structured, dry, creamy, with fine and persistent bubbles, complexity from long aging, balanced acidity, and a long and elegant finish. Notes of dried fruit, toasted bread, and ripeness stand out without losing freshness.
• Color: Straw yellow or pale golden, bright.
• Grape varieties: Classic blend of Macabeo, Xarel·lo and Parellada (sometimes with proportions such as 40% Xarel·lo, 30% Macabeo, 30% Parellada).
• Crianza: Gran Reserva, minimum 30 months (many vintages exceed 36–48 months), which gives it greater depth and refinement.
• Alcohol content: Around 11,5-12% vol.
• Serving method: Very cold (6–8°C), in a flute or tulip glass to appreciate the bubbles and aromas. Perfect as an aperitif, with seafood, fish, rice dishes, aged cheeses, cured Iberian meats, or even white meats. Excellent for celebrations or elegant meals.
