Numanthia is a premium red wine from the prestigious Toro Designation of Origin, produced by Bodega Numanthia in the Zamora region of Spain. It is renowned for its intensity, elegant structure and excellent aging potential, drawing inspiration from the heritage of Numancia and the resilience of its century-old vines, which have withstood extreme continental climates and challenges such as phylloxera.

This wine is a single-varietal Tinta de Toro (a local Tempranillo clone), made from old, low-yielding vines (around 100 years old) grown in sandy, stony soils near the River Duero, at an altitude of around 700 metres. The result is a powerful, well-balanced wine with silky tannins and remarkable complexity.

• Tasting Notes (based on the 2019 vintage): Full-bodied with an intense ruby color. Aromas of blackberries, plums, and subtle balsamic notes, which evolve on the palate toward vanilla, spices, and toasted nuances. Elegant texture, firm tannins, and a long, persistent finish. Recommended.
