Freixenet Elyssia Gran Cuvée Cava Brut 75 cl is one of the most elegant and premium cavas in Freixenet’s Elyssia range, within the D.O. Cava (Catalonia, Spain). It is made using the traditional method (second fermentation in the bottle, similar to Champagne) and represents a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, with a touch of Pinot Noir that gives it depth and complexity.

It is a Brut cava (dry, with low residual sugar content), refined, creamy and very versatile, ideal for celebrations or gastronomic pairings.

Key features:

• Aromas and flavors: On the nose, intense aromas of ripe fruit (apple, pear, pineapple, peach), white flowers (acacia), honey, toasted notes, yeast, brioche, and citrus or nutty hints. On the palate it is creamy, balanced, with fine and persistent bubbles, fresh acidity, elegant structure, and a long finish with nuances of yellow fruit, honey, and bakery notes.
• Color: Straw yellow with greenish or pale golden reflections, bright.
• Grape varieties: Blend of Chardonnay (primary, provides elegance and fruit), Macabeo, Parellada, and a touch of Pinot Noir (often as blanc de noirs, for greater depth and complexity). Approximate proportions in many vintages: 40% Chardonnay, 30% Macabeo, 20% Parellada, 10% Pinot Noir.
• Aging: Minimum 10–18 months on lees (often around 15–18 months), which gives it creaminess and superior refinement compared to basic cavas.
• Alcohol content: Around 11,5-12% vol.
• Serving method: Very cold (6–8°C), in a flute or tulip glass to concentrate aromas and appreciate the bubbles. Perfect as an aperitif, with fish, seafood, sushi, salads, rice dishes, creamy cheeses, or even poultry. Great gastronomic versatility and highly recommended for special occasions.
