It is a variation on the popular Donettes nougat from the Spanish brand El Almendro, founded in 1883 and specialising in traditional nougats. Although the classic version is made with dark chocolate, praline and crunchy bits of sponge cake that evoke the flavour of mini doughnuts (Donettes), this ‘Blancos’ edition uses white chocolate, in line with the brand’s innovative ‘Turrón Monopoly’ range, which combines white chocolate, sponge cake and chocolate chips.

Ingredients:

Based on the Donettes variety (may vary slightly in the ‘Blancos’ version): White chocolate coating (40%): Sugar, cocoa butter (non-EU), skimmed milk powder, anhydrous butter, emulsifiers (soya and sunflower lecithins), natural vanilla flavouring. Sugar. Vegetable fats (coconut, shea, sunflower). Whey powder.
Crumbled sponge cake (5%): Wheat flour, sugar, humectant (E-422), coconut fat, dextrose, egg powder, raising agents (E-450i, E-500ii), salt, thickener (E-407).
Sunflower oil. Skimmed and whole milk powders. Cocoa butter (non-EU). Emulsifiers (soy and sunflower lecithins). Flavors.

Allergens: Contains gluten (wheat), milk, soya and egg. May contain traces of peanuts and nuts. Not suitable for coeliacs.
