Tejero Almadraba Tuna in Olive Oil, Pack 3x80g
During the elaboration process we take great care with the raw materials we use, in order to offer the highest quality in our final product.
Canned tuna is prepared as follows:
- Tuna loin reception.
- Cooking the loin in a salt water solution.
- Maintenance and refrigeration.
- Packing through packaging machines
- One of the key steps to achieve our exclusive flavor is the addition of the best olive oils from Andalusia, the brine to make the tuna in its natural state or the tomato sauce.
- Subsequently, the cans are hermetically sealed and sterilized in autoclaves to obtain a totally sterile product.
- At this point, the cans are washed and dried before being cartoned and boxed. The process concludes with the storage of the product for subsequent shipment.
Tejero is a recognized brand of Unión Salazonera Isleña S.A. (USISA), based in Isla Cristina, Huelva, Spain, with more than 100 years of history dating back to the time of King Alfonso XII. Founded by José Tejero González, it specializes in canned and salted artisanal products, especially Almadraba tuna, recognized for its high quality and traditional production. The brand is recognized for its focus on family products, offering a variety of formats and covering liquids such as olive oil, sunflower oil, tomato sauce, natural brine or low-salt options. Its tuna is a seasonal product, rich in proteins, minerals, vitamins and Omega-3, using only salt and oil as preservatives.
- Natural Tuna Tejero (Pack 3 x 52 g or 3 x 80 g): Tuna preserved in water and salt, with net weights of 240 g (drained 156 g) or other sizes.
- Tuna in Olive Oil Tejero: Available in various sizes (e.g. 3 x 52 g, 3 x 80 g, 73 g, 618 g, 1 kg), with Andalusian olive oil to enhance its flavor.
- Tuna in Tomato Tejero (Pack 3 x 52 g or 3 x 80 g): Tuna in tomato sauce, with similar nutritional benefits.

The production process consists of immediate canning after ronqueo (traditional tuna cutting), which guarantees freshness. Tejero prioritizes the use of natural ingredients (tuna, oil, salt) without chemical additives, and the process is mainly manual, with a key role in filleting and canning played by the women. Customers praise its flavor for salads, sandwiches and fillings.
It can be found in stores in Seville as Andalubox. It is currently exported throughout Europe through www.andalubox.com.
