Seville orange wine is a traditional and unique drink from Andalusia, made mainly in the province of Seville and other nearby areas such as Huelva. It is an aromatized wine, classified as a liqueur wine, which uses as a base a white wine, often of the Palomino or Moscatel variety, macerated with bitter orange peel (Citrus aurantium), typical of Seville orange trees. This process gives it a distinctive character, with a balance between sweetness, bitterness and citrus notes.

In taste and aroma, orange wine stands out for its intense notes of bitter orange, with floral and herbaceous nuances and a spicy touch, depending on the recipe. Its color varies from light amber to deep golden, and it usually has a silky texture with a slightly bitter finish that invites further drinking.

It is made by an artisanal process, often in wineries in the region, where maceration with the skins and aging in casks (sometimes under the solera system, typical of Jerez) add complexity, and is served chilled, usually as an aperitif, accompanied by ice and a slice of orange, or as an ingredient in cocktails.

Its alcohol content is usually around 15-17%. Outstanding examples include Condado de Huelva Orange Wine, with DO, which reflects the tradition and cultural roots of Seville and its surroundings, evoking the aromas of the orange trees that adorn the city.
