The Tempranillo, or Tinta de Toro, found in this area is a grape adapted to the harsh climatic conditions of Toro and the poverty of its soils, developing thick skins that will give very structured wines. The clusters are fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature and with a short maceration in order to achieve a smooth wine. It then undergoes malolactic fermentation and is racked to selected oak barrels for 4 months to add finesse and round tannins.
