It is sold in packs of three (typically 3 x 51 g or 3 x 78 g cans) and is praised for its authentic taste, versatility and convenience. Recipe with Calamari in American Meow Sauce
As the product is ready to eat, here is a simple way to use it in a dish, inspired by its versatility to prepare pasta or rice:
Calamari Meow
Ingredients (for 2 persons):
1 package of Calamari in American Meow Sauce (3 x 51 g or 3 x 78 g)

200 g of spaghetti or pasta of your choice

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 chopped garlic clove

1 small onion, finely chopped

Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Optional: grated Parmesan or chili flakes for extra flavor

Instructions:

  • Cook pasta in boiling salted water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Sauté the garlic and onion until tender (2-3 minutes).
  • Open the cans of Calamares Meow and add the contents (squid and sauce) to the pan. Stir gently to heat through (approximately 2 minutes).
  • Toss the cooked pasta with the squid and sauce mixture until well coated. Serve hot, garnished with parsley and, if desired, Parmesan cheese or chili flakes.
