Estrella de Galicia Receta Original is a German Pilsner type beer with 4.7% alcohol, brewed by Hijos de Rivera in A Coruña, Spain. It has a light golden color, very transparent, with a balance between sweetness and bitterness in the mouth. Its aromas are reminiscent of pilsen malt and bread crust, with fresh and floral notes. The recipe, which dates back more than 110 years, is brewed with water, barley malt and hops, and requires approximately one month of production, with 50% of the time dedicated to cold storage.

Estrella Galicia, produced by Hijos de Rivera, has a significant presence in international markets. In 2023, exports accounted for 10% of its sales, with distribution in more than 75 countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Paraguay, Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, the United States and several markets in Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa. The company has prioritized growth in Europe (Germany, Italy, Portugal, England) and Latin America, although it canceled its plan to build a factory in Brazil, opting instead for an alliance with Femsa for distribution in that country.
