Cune Crianza Rioja 75 cl (also known as CVNE Crianza) is a classic and approachable red wine from the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin, produced by Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España (CVNE), one of Spain’s most historic and prestigious wineries, founded in 1879 in Haro (Rioja Alta).

It is mainly made with 85% Tempranillo, complemented by 15% Garnacha Tinta and Mazuelo (sometimes a bit of Graciano), coming from vineyards in Rioja Alta. It ages for 12 months in American oak barrels, which gives it a classic Riojan touch with notes of vanilla and spices, without losing the freshness of the fruit.

Tasting notes:

• Color: Bright cherry with violet or brick-red highlights on the rim, medium-high layer, clean and attractive.
• Nose: Intense aromas of red and black fruits (cherry, blackberry, blueberry, raspberry), notes of licorice, vanilla, toffee, caramel, sweet spices, balsamic herbs, and hints of smoke or toasted wood.
• Palate: Balanced, medium-bodied, with soft, velvety tannins and fresh, lively acidity. Flavors of ripe fruit, hints of cocoa, vanilla, and a long, elegant, slightly spiced finish. It is fresh, lively, and very drinkable.
• Alcohol content: around 13,5-14% vol.

It is a classic Rioja Crianza: refined, elegant, with great balance and a traditional style that very well represents the Rioja Alta region.

It pairs perfectly with:

• Cold meats and Serrano or Iberian ham
• Grilled or roasted meats (ribeye, lamb, veal)
• Spoon dishes (stew, braised dishes, tripe)
• Semi-cured or cured cheeses (Manchego, Idiazábal)
• Rice with meat or mushrooms
