A very fresh white wine in which the pure essence of Marqués de Villalúa is drunk, made with the native varieties Zalema, Moscatel, Pedro Ximénez and Listán de Huelva. Here they are revealed in all their splendor, endowing the wine with a fine herbal touch that envelops the fresh fruit.

  • Location: Villalba del Alcor, Huelva, Spain, 160 meters above sea level, with vineyards that benefit from a Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influence, ideal for growing grapes.
  • History: Founded in 2000, the winery is linked to a historical legacy that dates back to 1495, when wines from Villalba del Alcor were documented as part of expeditions to the New World, according to the archives of Seville.
  • Winemaking philosophy: Prioritizes native grape varieties such as Zalema and Listán de Huelva, along with Pedro Ximénez, Moscatel and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are harvested by hand at night to preserve their freshness, with controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks or barrels for specific wines.
  • Vineyard details: 22 hectares owned plus 10 controlled hectares on clay-limestone soils.

Made from selected grapes harvested at night and handpicked at the optimum moment of ripening. Pre-fermentation maceration and controlled fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel tanks.

The control of the entire winemaking process together with the use of the most advanced technology make it a fresh, fleshy wine with fruity aromas and flavors.

Marqués de Villalúa Dry (Young Dry White)

  • Grapes: Zalema, Moscatel, Listán de Huelva, Pedro Ximénez.
  • Tasting Notes: Pale straw yellow, clean and bright. Aromas of white fruit, floral and herbaceous notes with hints of aniseed. Fresh, balanced and easy to drink, with a smooth and fruity finish.
  • Vinification: Grapes harvested at night, controlled fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel tanks.
  • Food pairings: Seafood, fish, light pastas, rice dishes, ham and semi-cured cheeses.
  • Serving temperature: 7-10 °C.
