This is an Irish whiskey that has enjoyed a period of finishing in bourbon casks before being bottled as part of Sadler’s Peaky Blinder range. The name comes from a street gang that existed in the late 19th and early 20th century, one of whose members can be seen on the label – note the substantial bung, which is apparently the origin of the band’s name.

Nose: Blackcurrant and apple, with a touch of vanilla caramel.

Taste: Melted chocolate, apricots, toasted oak and dried peel.
