Their star product is nachos (tortilla chips or totopos), made 100% naturally using the traditional Aztec process of Nixtamal cooking, grinding with volcanic stone, fried in sunflower oil and seasoned with sea salt from the Bay of Cadiz. They also produce and market wheat tortillas, sauces, chiles, seasonings and ready meals for the retail and horeca channels.<br>The company started in Rota in 1986 with the Casa Texas Mexico restaurant, serving mainly customers from the American military base, and evolved into manufacturing due to the lack of Mexican ingredients in Spain. In 2013, they opened a new factory in El Puerto de Santa Mar\u00eda, five times larger than the original, with an investment of 2 million euros, equipped with modern technology and a quality control laboratory. They currently employ around 35 people, produce 24,000 kilos of nachos a week and export to countries such as the United Kingdom, Greece, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Germany, Portugal<br>Super-Mex has received awards such as the European Award for Best Professional Career, the Andaluc\u00eda Excelente 2022 Award for Product Quality and the National Award El Suplemento 2017 in Food Quality.
